Sleep tight my dearest Venue…
She was a shy cat, a member of my so called “Batman Series” because of her black and white color and a mask just like batman. While having drinks with my friends at THE VENUE (she was named after this bar), I saw the waiter kicking and shooing venue. She walked away and curled inside a pile of circular culvert near the parking lot. When my friends and I were about to leave, I picked her up and brought her home with me. She had the flu so I to gave her antibiotics for a week. she also contracted a virus called eye conjunctivitis which somehow damaged her left eye.
Just this morning, I took her, together with the other 3 cats to the vet to be spayed. Everything seemed to be normal. I never thought that a heartbreak was waiting to happen. Venue, never woke up.
I have found, nurtured and lost a couple of cats along the way. But nothing could ever prepare me for the pain of losing a cat that I have rescued and cared for. My heart is hurting, literally. Only those who have lost a cat, kitten or a dog could truly understand the grief that I’m feeling. I Still have 53 cats, My gosh, I am already dreading the thought of ever feeling this pain again 53 times over. Well, I guess i will just have to look at the bright side and remember that THIS (Feeling) too, shall pass. I guess this serves as a reminder for me to treasure my cats, be sensitive to their needs and happiness while I still can, while they can still feel it.
I miss you venue. I know i may not show it much, but mommy does love you my baby girl.
