The story of my little cat named Abnoy….

I would like to share with you guys the story of my black kitten named
Abnoy. When his mother was pregnant, She was intentionally hit by our
neighbor using hard wood. The mother couldn’t walk for weeks. When she
gave birth, two of her kittens were disabled. The arms of the female
kitten was deformed. In abnoy’s case, both of his feet are deformed.

He couldn’t walk. But he was an active kitten. very playful, if
you could only see him crawling on the floor trying to catch up with
the other kittens, your problems will surely fade away. until yesterday
when he wouldnt eat. I can sense that somehow he is in pain coz
when I move his legs, he cries. He is now sleeping, and as I check on
him every now and then while writing this post, I am faced with the
effects of Man’s cruelty.

He cannot fend for herself, coz when he “poops”, it sticks to his
butt. He smells of urine even if we clean him every now and
then. I tried making a “wheelchair” for him by using plastic toy cars, but he doesn’t want to use it.

Don’t get me wrong, I am not complaining. I am willing
to take care of him as I took care of the other kittens that I have
rescued. But some are suggesting that I
put him to rest because he is already suffering and as he grows older,
he will suffer more. Do you guys think this is true?

I am bringing him to the doctor tomorrow, although I am quite certain
that aside from his external defects, I know that there is something
wrong with some of his internal organs. I have 64 more cats to take
care of, so if ever he has internal defects, My gosh, I dont think I
can afford to have him operated on. I also think this will involve
series of operations. Not to mention that I still have 36 more
cats that needs to be spayed (which costs almost 2 thousand pesos each here in
the philippines). But then again I am trying my best to be optimistic.

I am confused, I hope some of you can enlighten me. I don’t want to be
selfish and keep him for my own self fulfillment.

I also hope that together, all of us who has compassion for these
animals, can enlighten the minds of other human beings who still think
that these animals are like pests.

Please I need your advice guys.

Recent updates on Abnoy:

I brought abnoy yesterday to the vet and just as I suspected, he has internal defects. His organs on the lower part of his body is not functioning properly. The doctor was frank with me, there was nothing we can do to repair abnoy’s birth defects. I was left with no choice but to allow the doctor to put abnoy to sleep. It was a heart wrenching decision because abnoy is still responding to us. When we talk to him, he looks at us with his tired and weary eyes and lets out a soft meow as if he understood. The doctor was quite amazed. It was a sad, sad goodbye. I know abnoy is now proudly running on four legs, jumping happily and playing with his creator in heaven.

What a sad, SAD story! But Abnoy was one lucky Kitty to have been well-attended to by his human mom, whose decision was to spare him from prolonged suffering.

Sad but i think that is the best way to cure his pain. He’s so cute. I just hate yung gumawa nun sa mother niya… Bakit kasi may mga taong pinanganak sa mundo na ang intention lang eh manakit ng kapwa o ng mga animals na walang kalaban laban…
